PSG negotiations with Lazio over Leandro Paredes transfer break down

Goal’s Marc Mechenoua is reporting that negotiations between Paris Saint-Germain and Lazio over the transfer of Leandro Paredes (29) have broken down.

Paredes features on PSG’s list of undesirables this summer, just as he did in the summer of 2022. Last season, the Argentine World Champion spent the season on loan at Juventus, however, the Serie A side chose not to make the move permanent. Consequently, he returned to PSG, who are once again trying to find a destination for Paredes, whose future doesn’t lie at the Parc des Princes.

According to Goal, PSG and Lazio have been in discussions over a transfer. However, these discussions haven’t found a positive conclusion. Lazio wanted to sign Paredes on a free transfer, whereas PSG wanted a little over €5m. Paredes has an agreement already in place with Galatasaray, but the player wants to explore other options in Europe before committing to a move to the Turkish top flight.
