Liverpool agree deal in principle for Jordan Henderson to join Al-Ettifaq as Reds captain moves closer to Steven Gerrard reunion in £12m move

Liverpool have come to an agreement in principle with Al-Ettifaq to sell Jordan Henderson to the Saudi Pro League outfit.

The former Sunderland midfielder has been linked with a move to Steven Gerrard’s side in recent weeks, and was left out of Liverpool’s squad to take on Karlsruher in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday.

Now the England international’s move to Al-Ettifaq is edging closer after the clubs agreed to a fee of around £12million plus add-ons.
