PSG are ready to rival Bayern Munich for Tottenham striker Harry Kane as Man United could return

Paris St Germain are ready to rival Bayern Munich for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Bayern believe Kane wants to join them and their chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen met with Tottenham’s Daniel Levy on Thursday.

However, Bayern’s offers, with the latest around £70m plus add-ons, have so far failed to change Levy’s stance that Kane is not for sale.

PSG’s presence could force the price up but Bayern insist they will draw the line at a certain point and consider returning in January if Kane commits to joining them.

Manchester United, who are looking to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta now, would also return for Kane if he allows his contract to run down.

It remains to be seen as to whether Kane will leave Spurs this summer, but with just one year left on his contract the possibility remains.

Thomas Tuchel is a huge fan of the forward but Bayern Munich have been unsuccessful so far in their pursuit of the England captain.

PSG’s interest will no doubt complicate things for the Bundesliga side if they are to seal the deal this summer.

With Luis Enrique already adding the likes of Marco Asensio and Manuel Ugarte to his squad in France this summer, Kane could join and link up with Kylian Mbappe.

Lionel Messi’s departure leaves a hole in PSG’s attack, and one that Kane could choose to fill.
