Manchester United continues Andre Onana talks and assured to reach an agreement in the next hours

Manchester United have re-opened talks with Inter Milan to try and find a breakthrough in negotiations over goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The two clubs are believed to be about £6million apart in their valuations of 27-year-old Onana, but discussions will continue on Friday and it’s hoped that a compromise can be reached before United go on tour to the US next week.

United boss Erik ten Hag is determined to sign his former Ajax keeper, and Inter need the cash to complete the permanent signing of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

United, on the other hand, are trying to save money where possible so they can afford Onana and Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund within their transfer budget after spending £60m on Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount. Alternative targets are also being considered.

United are trying to raise money by selling players and Mail Sport can reveal that Alex Telles is a target for Al-Nassr.

The Saudi Arabian club want to reunite the Brazil left-back, who spent last season on loan at Sevilla, with his former United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Al-Nassr are currently banned from registering new players by FIFA over an outstanding payment of £390,000 owing to Leicester City, but the dispute is expected to be resolved and the ban lifted.

United are also ready to sell Fred and Anthony Elanga, who are attracting strong interest from Fulham and Everton respectively, as well as finding new clubs for Donny van de Beek, Eric Bailly and Brandon Williams. Dean Henderson is set to be sold to Nottingham Forest if the Onana deal goes through.

United will also listen to offers for any one of Jadon Sancho, Harry Maguire, Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay if it will generate enough money to get the players they want.

Meanwhile, Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez is still mulling over a move to the Saudi Pro League with Al-Ahli worth £43m-a-year.

Mahrez, 32, is said to be undecided between staying with the Treble winners and accepting a huge pay-day in the Middle East.
