Tottenham will REJECT new £70million offer from Bayern Munich for Harry Kane

Tottenham will dismiss Bayern Munich’s second offer of £70million plus add-ons for captain Harry Kane.

The German champions made their bid after being given indications that Kane wants to join them and, with one year left on contract, hope that Tottenham will consider selling the striker abroad now rather than lose him for free next summer.

However, Bayern’s proposal still falls short of Tottenham’s valuation. Kane is due to return to pre-season training on Wednesday.

Spurs are set to head on their pre-season tour to Australia, Thailand and Singapore on Friday with the future of their star striker still uncertain.

Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel has made Kane his number one target, with the German side still desperate to fill the void left by the departure of Robert Lewandowski last summer.

The club are keen to get the deal done this summer, as they know they would face much fiercer competition if Kane stays at Tottenham this season before becoming a free agent at the end of contract in 2024.

However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to sell their prized asset, who scored 32 goals for the club last season, and expects the 30-year-old to remain in North London next season.

Bayern are set to complete a £42.5million deal for Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae and want to recruit Kane to maintain their dominance over the Bundesliga and challenge for the Champions League.

Their Bundesliga win last season only came on the last day as a result of Borussia Dortmund’s implosion, while their Champions League campaign was ended ruthlessly by eventual winners Manchester City.

Tuchel is believed to have already convinced Kane of the benefits of a move to Germany, where he’d likely add silverware to his already impressive CV and play in Europe – something Tottenham cannot offer him next season.

The former Chelsea boss has also said to have alleviated any concerns the England skipper may have about moving his family to a new country. Ensuring that is wife Katie, and their three children would be integrated into the wider Bayern community with schools, houses, and language support all readied for his arrival.
