FOR THE PEOPLE: Tyson Fury says he’ll come out of retirement and face Anthony Joshua for free, at Wembley Stadium

Tyson Fury has now declared that he will come out of retirement for a fight with Anthony Joshua, if certain conditions are met.

The WBC heavyweight world champion has set out a list of fairly unrealistic demands for the undisputed bout to come to fruition, should AJ first beat Oleksandr Usyk.

On August 20, the Brit will rematch the Ukrainian and attempt to win back his WBA, IBF and WBO titles.

Should he lose, the Fury fight is dead in the water for the time being.

However, the Gypsy King has said he is hoping AJ will emerge victorious and set up a meeting between them.

Fury roared: “I swear to God, I hope he wins the fight against Usyk so I can come out of retirement and fight him for free.

“However, the terms are these – I want it at Wembley Stadium, I want it free to enter and I want it on free-to-air in television in this country.

“I’ll fight him for free in England.

“Not abroad in a foreign country for more money, here for free for the people.”

Of course, in reality, if Fury and Joshua were to fight it would be the biggest money bout between two British boxers in history.

The showdown would be one of the most financially successful boxing matches of all time and make tens of millions from PPV revenue alone.

It is also very likely that the potential fight would be lured by a massive site fee – upwards of $100million – over to the Middle East.

Saudi Arabia have already paid out to host Joshua’s rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019 and will now do so again for his second bout with Usyk.

If the mega fight with Fury were to come to fruition, organisers would no doubt do everything possible to maximise profits, despite Fury’s admirable latest remarks.
